If you want to understand the Definitive Technology BP2002TL loudspeakers, look behind them. Separate terminals, linked by gold jumpers, feed the tweeters, the bass/midrange speakers, and the 12.

DEFINITIVE TECHNOLOGY BP 2000 SPEAKERS $900. Local pickup or possible meeting within a few hours of Charleston, SC 29466
These are awesome speakers with great reviews. I have seen past pairs sell on Ebay for $1200+. Come with factory supplied aftermarket manuals (nice, heavy stock.) No boxes.
I picked these up locally because the price was right and I wanted to give them a listen. I've been using them recently as my SDA's have been down for months. By selling these, it will make me more motivated to get the SDA's back up and running. The 2000's are a great set of speakers that can serve dual duty as HT and 2 channel. These are dipole speakers which for the uninitiated, have a matched pair of speakers on the back side that reflect and throw sound and give a more 'real life' performance, especially in HT.
The BP 2000's were the top of the line model and were several thousand brand new. Each pair has a built in 15' sub that I is powered by its own 500 wpc amp. The subs are located on opposite sides of each speakers so that you can really dial in the bass response (subs either face each other or face out, depending on which side you place each speaker.)
I recently had one amp factory serviced by Def Tech. The subs can be turned off completely and have LFE inputs as well as standard sub connections.
Condition is very good. Grill socks are in good shape with a rub or two here and there. They are replaceable if you want one in mint shape, but they look very nice. The top cap on one speaker has two chips out of the veneer ($40.00 for a new one.) Nothing serious, but must be noted. Light, expected surface wear to the laquered caps should also be mentioned.
I am attaching a link to the reviews on these. Audioreview reviews will be so so because these speakers take some time with placement to dial in the bass. The people leaving bad reviews haven't taken the time necessary to set these up properly.
I personally found the midrange and highs on these to be super smooth. Vocal sound very clear but not agonizingly detailed. Speakers play as loud as you'd like with a very quiet background. I'd keep these, but I truly don't have room for them. The nice thing about these is even though they are tall, they have a very small footprint.
I will be glad to post pictures if anyone has serious interest. The only thing to see on these is the chips to the caps. Otherwise, the review photos are exactly the same. I also have matching BPX dipole rears that will be a great price as well.

Could be true. I speak my mind which has its consequences. Thanks Trey for the typo correction.UNIVERA

'I love it when a plan comes together.' Hannibal Smith, The A-Team - edited December 2006I always wanted a pair of these. No that I have the financial ability and geography to actually own a pair, I have no place to put them.
